This month’s featured re-inventor is my dear friend Rachel! Rachel is a fellow gluten-free eater, lover of coffee and all around bad-ass of a woman. If she isn’t playing a show for two of Omaha’s rockin’ |nearly| all girl bands, HERS and Wayward Little Satan Daughters, she’s co-founding the feminist record label, CLUB NO QUIET records which will launch in 2013. Even with her busy schedule she some how finds time to pay tribute to the details in life by personalizing her clothing.
By adding small stitches to her pocket and sleeves, Rachel made this casual t-shirt a perfect partner for these patterned pants.
I always have great respect for people who make clothing from scratch. I love this fall/winter hooded cape that she handmade.
Here is an adorable graphic shift dress that she handmade as well.
I love finding details that are normally over looked and so I am sure you can imagine my delight when I noticed the arrow stitching on the shoulders and cuffs of this button-up.
Who isn’t a sucker for over-sized knitted scarves? Rachel is a woman of many talents. She knitted this Cowl, but also had a brilliant idea to add a zipper for versatility. I wish I thought of that.
For me, this dress is the show stopper. I love it. Rachel took an existing pattern and redesigned it by adding this beautiful graphic panel. Gah! I’m so inspired!
